It has the power to regenerate us. When I set out to name my company, I knew I wanted a name that would reflect the depth of my heart and give others a glimpse into who I am and what I stand for.
What is Amity? A Heartfelt Hospitality RV Operations Management
“Amity” by definition refers to a state or quality of friendship, harmony, and peaceful relations between people. It represents a sense of belonging, mutual respect, and understanding. Amity embodies the idea of fostering meaningful connections and nurturing a sense of community and unity. When I set out to name my company, I knew I wanted a name that would reflect the depth of my heart and give others a glimpse into who I am and what I stand for. This is why I choose the name Amity Outdoors for my RV outdoor hospitality management and consultiung company. It is hospitality and hospitality is connection. Plus it was extra special that it can spell out my name, Amy!
In today's fast-paced world, finding solace in genuine human connection is truly a rare and beautiful experience. I find peace in opportunities to see the world through someone else's eyes, to understand their emotions, and to share their unique experiences. It's incredible how much strength can be found in hearing another person's story. We all have our own stories to tell, so why not create a safe and welcoming place where we can listen to and appreciate each other's narratives?
A Small Fact About Me:
I have a deep love for all things old and things that have a history. I'm fascinated by items that have a story to tell, which is why my home is adorned with many treasures from times long ago. There's something special about opening an old book with a failing binding and brittle pages, only to discover a note that has been tucked away for a hundred years. I find joy in turning over an old black and white photo and trying to decipher the illegible cursive name written on it. In those moments, I can't help but wonder about the story behind that person. What did they experience? What were their dreams and aspirations?
These artifacts of the past serve as a reminder of the rich tapestry of human experiences and the connections that have been forged throughout history.
This love for stories and connections is what fuels my passion for hospitality. I truly believe that creating spaces where people can come together, share their stories, and forge meaningful connections is essential in today’s world. By providing a safe place for others to share their experiences, we can create an environment that celebrates the beauty of human connection.
